About.

Jay Rivera began his music journey  at  an early age. Born and raised in Hartford, Ct, his Puerto Rican roots introduced him to sound and rhythm during family gatherings and holidays. He quickly developed a love for the electronic dance sound, known today as "Freestyle" created by Artists the likes of TKA, George Lamond, Cynthia just to name a few.

At 14, he was introduced to a young Javier "Dr Javi" Ayala and Antonio Mercado. The 3 quickly became close friends and it was here that the makings of "Touch of Quality" aka "TOQ" began.

In 1994, TOQ released My Summer Love. Shortly after, Jay Rivera separated from music and later returned in 1998 to record several solo singles before rejoining former group member Antonio Mercado to form "Da FellaZ"

Da FellaZ went on to record songs such as" Where does that leave us", " Why", and in 2000 their final recording, "If tomorrow could be"

Jay Rivera continued to record and in 2003 released another solo track "Endless".

Afterwards, he recorded several tracks to build his library and in 2011 released "I Believe" the debut single to his first solo album,  "Moments in Time" released in 2012.
